   Happy Diwali   

Ingredients:
  • Green gram - 2 cups
  • Grated Jaggery - 150-200 Gms
  • Water - ¼ cup
  • Cardamom powder - ½ Teaspoon
  • Ghee - 2 Tablespoon
  • Broken Cashew nuts - ¼ cup
Instructions:
  1. Dry roast the Green gram in a skillet on low heat until it turns reddish brown in color. Don't burn it.
  2. Remove from heat and let it cool completely. Then grind it to a fine powder. Sieve, if necessary. Set aside.
  3. Boil jaggery with water until the jaggery is completely melted.
  4. Remove from heat, and allow to cool slightly, then filter to remove the impurities.
  5. In a bowl add in the green gram powder, cardamom powder, broken cashew nuts, ghee, warm melted jaggery and mix everything well using your hands.
  6. Then make small Ladoos out of the prepared Ladoo mix.
  7. Green Gram Ladoo is ready to be served.

Yield: 15-20 Ladoos
