   Happy Diwali   

Ingredients:
  • All purpose flour - 2 cups
  • Sugar - 2 ¼ cups
  • Cocoa powder - ¾ cup
  • Baking powder - 1 ½ teaspoons
  • Baking soda - 1 ½ teaspoons
  • Vegetable oil - ½ cup
  • Milk - 1 ¼ cup
  • Eggs -2 Nos
  • Vanilla extract - 2 teaspoons
  • Boiling water - 1 cup
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Chocolate Frosting
Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans, keep aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt and set aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  5. Add the prepared flour mix little by little into this and beat on medium speed till fluffy or smooth.
  6. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin).
  7. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  8. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks and allow to cool completely.
  9. Prepare Chocolate Frosting and frost the cake.
