Ingredients
  • Green beans - 250 Gms
  • Green chillies - 2 Nos, chopped

For coconut mix:

  • Grated Coconut - ¾ cup
  • Cumin Seeds - ¼ Tablespoon
  • Turmeric Powder - ¼ Tablespoon
  • Chilli Powder - ¼ Tablespoon
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Shallots - 1-2 Nos
  • Salt to taste

For tempering:

  • Chopped Shallots - 1-2 Nos
  • Mustard seeds - ½ Teaspoon
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • Coconut Oil - 1-2 Tablespoon
Directions
  1. Cut green beans into small(½ cm) pieces and set aside.
  2. Coarsely grind grated coconut, garlic, turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin seeds, shallots, salt and keep it aside.
  3. Heat coconut oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds; Then add curry leaves, chopped shallots and fry till the shallots are light brown in color.
  4. Then add the chopped beans, green chillies and saute for 30 seconds in low flame, then add the coconut mix(step #2) along with little water and combine well.
  5. Cover and cook on low flame for 5-10 minutes or till the water content evaporates completely. Don’t forget to stir occasionally.
  6. Remove from flame and serve hot.
