  • Boneless Chicken - 400 Gms, cut into medium strips
  • Buttermilk - 1 cup
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder - 2 Teaspoon
  • Pepper powder - 1 Teaspoon
  • Sugar - 2 Teaspoon
  • Salt - 2 Teaspoon
  • Italian style bread crumbs - as required ( approx: 1 ½ - 2 cups )
  • Oil to drizzle over chicken strips, olive oil recommended
  1. Clean and wash the chicken strips. Drain the water completely.
  2. In a bowl, add in the chicken strips, buttermilk, red chilli powder, pepper powder, sugar, salt and mix well. Refrigerate it for at-least 2 hrs. Keep it overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat oven to 450°F.
  4. Remove each chicken strip from the buttermilk mixture and roll it in the bread crumbs. Make sure that it coated well evenly.
  5. Arrange the breadcrumbs coated chicken strips in a baking sheet and drizzle little oil on top.
  6. Bake for about 14-16 minutes or until cooked well and golden brown in color. Flip to the other side after half time to ensure proper cooking, and drizzle some oil too.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite sauce on side.


  • Color of the baked chicken strips is based on the amount of oil drizzled on it. So adjust the quantity.
