Ingredients
  • Prawns - 250 Gms, peeled and deveined
  • Onion, small sized – 1 Nos, cubed
  • Green Chillies – 2-3 Nos, sliced
  • Bell peppers, cubed - ½ cup
  • Vegetable Oil – 1 Tablespoon
  • Chopped coriander leaves to garnish
  • Salt to taste

For Marination:

  • Dark Soy Sauce – ½ Tablespoon
  • Sweet Chilli Sauce – 1 Tablespoon
  • Tomato Ketchup – ½ Tablespoon
  • Finely chopped Garlic – 1 Teaspoon
  • Finely chopped Ginger- ½ Teaspoon
  • Corn Flour – 1 Teaspoon
  • Vinegar – 1 Teaspoon
  • Sugar – ½ Teaspoon
  • Salt - ½ Teaspoon
  • Red Food Color - few drops, optional
Directions
  1. Take prawns and the ingredients mentioned in 'For Marination' in a bowl. Mix well and set aside for 20 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add in the sliced onion and saute until the onions turn translucent.
  3. Add in the bell peppers, green chillies and saute for few seconds.
  4. Now add in the marinated prawns and saute for 2 minutes on medium heat.
  5. Cover and cook for 5-8 minutes on low heat. Stir occasionally.
  6. Then open the pan, saute until the water content evaporates completely. Adjust salt. Add food color, if using.
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.

Notes:

  • Cooking time of the prawns will be very fast. Overcooking makes it rubbery.
