Ingredients
  • Cleaned and deveined Prawns - 250 Gms
  • Onion, large sized - 1 Nos, chopped
  • Tomato, large sized - 1 Nos, chopped
  • Green chilli - 2 Nos, chopped
  • Ginger - 1 medium piece, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 6-8 cloves, finely chopped
  • Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 1 Tablespoon
  • Turmeric Powder - ¼ Teaspoon
  • Pepper Powder - 1 Teaspoon, adjust according to your taste
  • Cumin powder - ½ Teaspoon
  • Coconut bits - ¼ cup
  • Coconut milk - 1 cup, medium thick
  • Mustard seeds - ½ Teaspoon
  • Coconut oil - 3-4 Tablespoon
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • Salt to taste
Directions
  1. Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds. Add in the coconut bits and fry till light brown in color.
  2. Add curry leaves, chopped onion, ginger, garlic, green-chilli and saute till the onion turns to light brown color.
  3. Add in the chopped tomato and saute till it becomes well mashed.
  4. Add cleaned prawns and fry for 3-4 minutes; Then add the powders and fry for 2 minutes on low-medium heat.
  5. Add in the coconut milk, salt and combine well; Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes or until the gravy is thick and the prawns are cooked well on low-medium heat. Don't forget to stir in between.
  6. Serve warm :)
