Ingredients
  • Semolina/Sooji rawa - 1 ½ cups
  • Sugar - 1 - 1 ¼ cup
  • Ghee/ Butter - ½ cup
  • Raisins - 10-15 Nos
  • Coarsely chopped Cashew nuts - ¼ cup
  • Crushed Cardamom - 5 pods
  • Milk - ½ cup
  • Water - 3 cups
Directions
  1. Add milk, sugar, water and crushed cardamom in a pan. Let it boil over medium heat. Don't forget to stir often.
  2. Heat ghee/butter in a heavy bottomed deep pan, add semolina and fry until light golden brown color.
  3. Now add the chopped cashews and raisins to the roasted semolina and mix well.
  4. When the semolina is almost golden color, gently add in the milk mixture(step #1), and mix thoroughly without forming any lumps; Stir till you get a smooth paste-like consistency.
  5. Stir the mixture until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan and forms a mass without any lumps.
  6. Remove from heat and serve warm.
