Ingredients
  • Finely chopped Cauliflower - 1 cup
  • Egg - 3 Nos
  • Finely chopped Onion - ¾ cup
  • Grated Coconut - ¼ cup
  • Finely chopped Green Chilly - 2-3 Nos, adjust according to the spice level
  • Turmeric powder - ¼ Teaspoon + 1 pinch
  • Black Pepper Powder - ½ - 1 Teaspoon, adjust according to the spice level
  • Mustard seeds – ½ Teaspoon
  • Dried Red Chilly - 2 Nos
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • Coconut oil - 1 Tablespoon
  • Water - 1 ½ cup
  • Salt to taste
Directions
  1. Heat water in a pan, add in the chopped cauliflower, ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder and salt.
  2. Cook till the cauliflower is cooked well. Drain the water completely and set aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds. Add in the dried red chilly and fry for few seconds.
  4. Add in the chopped onion, green chillies and sauté till the onion becomes translucent.
  5. In between, beat the eggs; Once the onions are translucent add in the beaten egg and keep stirring until cooked.
  6. Then add in the cooked cauliflower, grated coconut, one pinch of turmeric powder, black pepper powder, curry leaves, salt and combine well.
  7. Sauté till the thoran becomes dry. Remove from fire and serve hot.
