Ingredients
  • Lemon - 10 Nos
  • Garlic - 10 cloves, finely chopped
  • Ginger - ½ inch piece, finely chopped
  • Green chilly - 2-3 Nos, slit
  • Mustard seeds - ½ Teaspoon
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • Vinegar - 1 Tablespoon
  • Coconut Oil - 2 Tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1 pinch
  • Salt to taste
Directions
  1. Wash the lemons and steam cook in a steamer for 10-15 minutes. This will help to reduce the sourness of lemons.
  2. Once cooled, cut each lemon into 4 or 8 pieces as desired.
  3. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed wide pan, splutter mustard seeds.
  4. Add in the chopped ginger, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves and saute until the raw smell disappears.
  5. Then add in the turmeric powder and saute for few seconds on low heat.
  6. Now add in the sliced lemon, vinegar and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes on low heat.
  7. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  8. Store it in an air-tight container and use as needed.
